PSY’s ‘Gangnam Style’ Is No Longer The Most Watched Video On YouTube!

South Korean rapper PSY became an internet sensation back in 2012 with the release of his viral tune ‘Gangnam Style‘. Accompanied by a hysterical music video, it went on to become the most watched YouTube video of all time in November of that year! And now, after five years of holding onto the crown, he can finally pass it on Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth.

Earlier yesterday, it came to light that their chart topping collaboration ‘See You Again‘ had went past PSY’s original effort. Originally, an emotional ballad that was released as a tribute to late actor Paul Walker, it featured on the 2015-released Furious 7 movie soundtrack. At the time of publishing, ‘See You Again’ has notched up 2,901,992,807 views, while ‘Gangnam Style’ has been watched 2,896,057,435 times. Charlie Puth also talked about the landmark moment in a tweet saying:
