Justin Bieber Gets Banned From China!

Justin Bieber

Justin Bieber is considered as one of the biggest pop stars of the 21st century! And while the fact can certainly not be denied, it looks like Chinese authorities aren’t his biggest fans. A statement posted by Beijing’s Culture Bureau on their website on Friday confirmed that the ‘Sorry‘ hit maker won’t be performing in the country any time soon.

Justin Bieber is a gifted singer, but he is also a controversial young foreign idol,” the bureau said while responding to a fan’s request for a “detailed explanation” about the absence of China dates during Bieber’s upcoming world tour. “As far as we are concerned, he has engaged in a series of bad behaviors, both in his social life and during a previous performance in China, which caused discontent among the public.

Not so surprisingly, this isn’t the first time that the country’s officials have censored a Western pop performance. Over the years, they have stopped heavyweight acts including Maroon 5, Oasis, Jay-Z, Bob Dylan and Bjork due to multiple reasons.
