Don Diablo Announces He Will No Longer Play Any Ultra Events After Issues At Ultra Singapore

The recently concluded Ultra Singapore lineup included some of the biggest names in the dance music scene, including Hardwell, Steve Angello, KSHMR, Tiesto, and many more. However, due to some delays in his flight between Beijing and Singapore, Don Diablo couldn’t make it to the festival on time, and could only play a 30 minute set.

The Dutch DJ/producer later took to his Facebook page, along with his tour and production manager to explain the entire situation, and also reveal that he won’t be playing any Ultra event in the future. Stating in the video, Diablo’s managers mention that they received messages from Ultra’s team that they “weren’t really welcome anymore, and most of all that [they] weren’t getting paid for the show“. Ultra also cancelled their set’s pyrotechnical allocation. Don Diablo also further reveals:

I’m not alone in this…there are a lot of DJs – some of your favorite DJs – that are not performing at the festival. Everybody’s just afraid to speak out because everybody wants to perform at Ultra, because it’s a fantastic festival and we want to be there for you guys.

We’ve decided as a team that we can no longer perform at any of the Ultras in the near future. That includes the ones that have been announced because we feel there is no way back at this point.
