There is clearly no dearth of talent in India. As the independent music scene in the country continues getting stronger by the year, we’ve seen a number of artists showcase their talent through some incredible music over time, which has also managed to catch the attention of global tastemakers. Pune based sibling duo Moon Roots Project have been a part of the movement since 2014, and after already having released four EPs in 3 years, they are back with a brand new EP titled ‘Esin‘.
Featuring three tracks, the EP is a stunning piece of work from Hannan and Fatema Hakim, who comprise Moon Roots Project. The eponymous track is a groovy concoction of broody basslines and heady synths coming together effortlessly for a dance floor warmer. ‘Farf‘ is an uplifting number, with atmospheric synths and a bouncy bassline, and without a doubt the standout track on the EP, while ‘Serena‘ takes a darker route with tech house-y elements making it a perfect addition to any after hours set.
