Armin van Buuren To Remove All UR Branding From Ibiza Residency After Claims Of Plagiarism

Armin van Buuren has received a decent amount of backlash from legendary techno outfit Underground Resistance, after they accused the Dutch trance veteran of plagiarising their logo for his ‘U R‘ concept residency at  Hï Ibiza this summer.

After being called out, Armin posted a statement on his own Facebook page, saying that the name was derived from an older concept of his named ‘Universal Religion‘ and neither him or his crew nor Hï/Ushuaïa’s team were aware of the similarities. However, in a new statement released to Resident Advisor, Armin’s residency “will only communicate the full name of the concept: Universal Religion. All logos/flyers will be changed ASAP.

Armin van Buuren is set to take over Hi Ibiza in the summer for 13 weeks with his residency, which will feature artists such as Aly & Fila, Vini Vici, Andrew Rayel, Super 8 & Tab and many more.
