Paul Oakenfold who recently announced the launch of SoundTrek will hold its launch at Mount Everest. Labeled as a series of parties which aims to take electronic dance music to some of the planet’s most remote and challenging locations, SoundTrek will also focus on raising awareness of environmental matters and interacting with local cultures and charities, raising funds along the way. The electronic music veteran who set out on his latest Generations World Tour back in late February has a stop in Nepal where he will perform at Mount Everest’s South Base Camp. An ambitious performance slated to take place on April 11, it will require him to trek to 17,500 feet above sea level to reach the stage.
