Post the announcement of their seventh studio album, ‘One More Light‘, Linkin Park released two singles, ‘Heavy‘ and ‘Battle Symphony‘ respectively. While a lot of the fans weren’t too happy with the sound that the band are pursuing with the upcoming LP, a number of fans threw their support behind the ‘In The End’ hitmakers.
The band has now teased their third single from the album, and it will feature English Grime artist Stormzy, and American rapper Pusha T. Titled ‘Good Goodbye‘, Linkin Park have premiered the lyrics to the track on Genius.
Pusha T:
Goodbye, good riddance
A period is after every sentence
Did my time with my cellmate
Maxed out so now we finished
Stormzy:
Never seen a young black brother in the chart twice
Goodbye to the stereotypes
You can’t tell my kings we can’t
Mandem we’re linking tings in parks
Now I gotta tune with Linkin Park
Talking about the track, Mike Shinoda said:
I’m a basketball fan. When I was writing this song, I wanted to capture that moment at the game when someone fouls out, and the cheerleaders sing and kick out the ejected player.
