Tomorrowland Set To Be A Two-Weekend Festival For A Whopping 16 Years

Tomorrowland Weekend

Tomorrowland surprised fans with a two-weekend festival in 2017, and according to reports from Belgium, the festival has managed to sign a contract which would allow the gathering to take place over two weekends till 2033 in Boom, Belgium.

However, even though Tomorrowland has secured the license, the mayor of Boom, Jeroen Baert said:

The contract is conditional and can be canceled. It will be evaluated every year and checked if the conditions are respected regarding its nuisance, mobility and security. If that’s not the case, the contract can be terminated with a year’s notice.

The Mayor also suggested that the festival might not even take place come 2033.

2017’s edition will be the second time Tomorrowland will be expanding to a two weekend format after the 2014 edition, where the festival celebrated its 10th anniversary. 2017 has already seen some major artist announcements, with the likes of Armin van Buuren, Axwell /\ Ingrosso, deadmua5, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Eric Prydz, Martin Garrix, and many more, and has already sold out.
