It is a sad day for quite a significant number of music fans around the world. If you haven’t been living under a rock, you’re ought to be aware of the colossal collaboration between Martin Garrix and Ed Sheeran. Following a massive debut at Ultra Music Festival back in 2015, the track’s release has been a topic of heavy discussion ever since.
But now it looks like the prized effort between the two superstars will never see the light of day. Reportedly titled ‘Rewind Repeat It‘, the Dutch producer was recently asked to give an update to fans about the collaboration’s release during an interview to which he replied saying:
“It’s all label issues and a lot of headaches…it was going to be an official track… but the label delayed the track because they wanted to release other tracks from Ed first. I didn’t release a radio single for 5-6 months, so then you get annoyed. So I don’t think we’re ever going to release the track.”
A highly anticipated release that would have brought two of the hottest acts within the music industry at the moment together, it looks like fans can hope to enjoy this number during live performances only.
