With on going speculation about their future, British heavy metal band Black Sabbath have confirmed their split after 50 years through their social media channels.
Black Sabbath started out in 1968, featuring Ozzy Osbourne on the vocals, Tommy Iommi on the guitar, Geezer Butler on the bass and Bill Ward on the drums, and went on to define heavy metal with releases such as Black Sabbath, Paranoid, Master of Reality among many others.
Black Sabbath played the final concert of their farewell tour in February at their native Birmingham, with their drummer saying he was “sure the band could make more music together.”
