Following up the highly successful single What You Need ft. NÏKA, the up and coming producer from New Zealand, BAYNK has unveiled his new creation, ‘Poolside‘. Jock Nowell-Usticke – better known by his BAYNK moniker – may have started putting out music just a year ago but he has dished out some beautiful pieces in a short time. On top of millions of plays across platforms, his single “What You Need” topped the Hypem chart. With his new track ‘Poolside’, BAYNK has produced and has also taken up the vocal duties.
From the very first beat, ‘Poolside‘ will remind you with its chill and laidback sound that the season of summer is almost here. With breezy vocals and plucky guitar lead, the song will instantly set your mind to ice-cold beer and beach parties. Keeping the groove alive for the whole song, its slow rhythms and oozing synths will take you to another world. Giving a little background to the making of ‘Poolside’, BAYNK says,
I wrote this song sitting, literally next to my friend’s pool, when I was having worries about whether or not I’ll ever find someone right for me. It’s the first proper song I’ve produced, written and sung lyrics on myself so it’s close to my heart. I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I did creating it!
Undoubtedly, one to watch in 2017, BAYNK has been picking up the pace playing festivals and clubs with his hybrid setup of live instruments on his sets. He has also released a self-directed music video for ‘Poolside’ which perfectly amplifies the atmosphere of the song.
