Sam Gellaitry – Jungle Waters (Original Mix)

Sam Gellaitry Jungle Waters

Over time, the young Brit boy Sam Gellaitry has carved out quite a name for himself: known for belting out a magical sound that has just the right tinges of melody, whimsy and cinematic appeal. After the successful release of its previous two editions, the producer returns to swipe off the drapes as he reveals his shiny new addition, Escapism III to the Escapism trilogy with the release of ‘Jungle Waters’, a murky, multi-faceted tune that is blissfully bizarre. Other tracks in the EP include titles like Ceremony, Midnight Racer, Acres and Ever After.

A press release quotes him as saying:

“I always liked when people would compare my tracks to a story or a journey. It is something I’ve always strived for, and I love imagining my fans getting lost in my tracks just as you would with a book or when exploring. I also feel that having an escape and something that takes your mind off the negativity in life is essential. When I realised (sic) that my escape would turn into what I do as a living, naming the project Escapism only felt right.”

The beginning is a classy orchestra: symphonic sounds of organs, violins, harps, chimes and the whole charade are involved as they waver to a head-nodding beat that almost sounds divinely distorted. The track is several layers of designed sonic texture, captured in a manner that is dramatic, surreal and simply addictive as synths and pads float in a mid air medley of dazzling disposition, before the track ends on a bouncy and sparkly note.
