Good news for all the passionate hip-hop heads in the country! One of India’s finest film directors, Zoya Akhtar has announced her next venture ‘Gully Boy‘ which will turn the spotlight on Mumbai’s critically acclaimed hip-hop scene.
With Bollywood heavyweights Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt having already been added to the forthcoming movie’s star cast, the feature film is “about the lives of street rappers from Mumbai’s chawls and ghettos”. Moreover, ‘Gully Boy‘ will also highlight the lives and musical careers of two of today’s hottest hip-hop acts in India, namely Naezy and Divine. Apart from their illustrious solo careers, the two are also renowned for their explosive collaboration, ‘Mere Gully Mein‘.
