One of the most diverse producers in dance music sphere has been mau5trap artist Matt Lange. His freshest production that is a rendition of Mazzy Star’s ‘Fade Into You’ is quite an illustration for someone who hasn’t explored his music catalog thoroughly yet. About the track Lange recently said:

“I really had a ton of fun doing this one as it combined so much of my background in rock music and playing guitar while at the same time still keeping a large amount of cool glitchy programming and the atmospheric thing I’ve come to be known for over the years (thanks Eventide reverb). It’s hardly a complete departure, but certainly a look into what’s coming next. I hinted a bit at this with tracks like “Inside My Head” and “Consider This,” but it’s really coming full circle now.”

In typical Matt Lange fashion the rework is cerebral, sinister and dark to say the least, with immense industrial rock and glitch elements tightly jammed together alongside the poignant melodic hooks. While Hope Sandoval’s lyrics are turned into a more haunting sequence, the electrifying sound design around the vocals is extraordinary.
