Diplo Set To Get His Own TV Show 'What Would Diplo Do?'

As Diplo continues to embed himself deeper and deeper into pop culture, the Major Lazer co-founder is all set to be immortalized with a new comedy scripted series titled ‘What Would Diplo Do?‘, commissioned by Viceland, a joint venture between Vice Media and A+E Networks.

With 6 episodes ordered, the series will be a comical outlook on Diplo’s lifestyle starring James Van Der Beek as the DJ/producer. The series, which has been described as “Louie meets WorldStar HipHop crossed with This Is Spinal Tap”, has been inspired by Mad Decent‘s film ‘A Day In The Life‘. Both Van Der Beek and Diplo, alongside with Diplo’s long-time manager Kevin Kusatsu and music video helmer Brandon Dermer will serve as the executive producers of the series.

Set to premiere later this year, check out the video that started it all.
