You Have To Check Out This Metal Cover Of The Weeknd & Daft Punk's 'Starboy'

The Weeknd and Daft Punk‘s collaboration ‘Starboy‘ was without a doubt one of the biggest tracks of 2016. The single saw the highly awaited return of Daft Punk, who hadn’t had a release ever since their 2013 LP ‘Random Access Memories‘. With countless unofficial remixes and covers, the single became quite a rage worldwide, finding its way to the top of charts globally, as well as into numerous playlists.

Now, the hit single has received the most unlikeliest of covers from a Delhi based metal band, who’ve given it a whole new flavor. Yes, you read that right. ‘Starboy‘ just received a metal cover. Who would’ve thought, huh? The band in question is Bloodywood, a 4 member unit which has been doing metal parodies of pop songs and Bollywood numbers since last year, which have included the likes of ‘Closer‘ by The Chainsmokers, ‘Side By Side‘ by Ariana Grande, ‘MILF $‘ by Fergie, as well as Honey Singh, Raftaar and the likes.

The band’s cover for ‘Starboy’ goes all out, replacing the main lyric verse with “I’m a butter loving starboy“, and a particular racial slur with “Ninja” (you know). Perhaps the craziest cover you’ll ever hear of a Weeknd (and Daft Punk) track, check it out here below!

You can check out the rest of the covers on their YouTube channel.
