The Bangin Beats’ Top 10 Tracks Of January 2017!

The first month of 2017 is nearly over, and has brought us some incredible new music, including two massive releases in the form of The Chainsmokers‘ ‘Paris‘, and Martin Garrix‘s ‘Scared To Be Lonely‘, while also seeing some phenomenal music from a host of other artists.

Join us as we take a look at the Top 10 releases in January 2017.

10. Third Party – Veins

British progressive house duo Third Party kickstarted their 2017 with what could possibly be their best track yet in ‘Veins‘. Complete with scintillating synth hooks and soaring melodies, the single was received incredibly well from fans and critics alike, and for good reason.


9. What So Not & Ganz Ft JOY. – Lone (Slow Hours Remix)

What So Not‘s first EP after Flume’s departure, ‘Divide & Conquer‘, stole the show with its intricate productions and cutting edge soundscape, which blew away pretty much everyone in the electronic music scene. The EP’s lead single ‘Lone‘ featuring Ganz and JOY, has now received a stunning remix from the blooming French group Slow Hours, who’ve turned the original on its head into an energetic and catchy number.


8. Anish Sood – Don’t Stop

Anish Sood stepped into 2017 with a brand new single ‘Don’t Stop‘ and the launch of his own record label, Class Action. Featuring Charlie Sputnik on vocals, the single boasts of lighthearted melodies that serves as the perfect track due to its emotional and dance floor appeal!



7. Dyro x Goja – Alive

WOLV Records bossman Dyro entered 2017 with an absolute monster of a track, in collaboration with Italian duo Goja, titled ‘Alive‘. With boisterous synths and a heavy bassline, the track is easily one of Dyro’s heaviest productions till date.



6. Bonobo ft. Nick Murphy – No Reason

Bonobo’sMigration‘ was the English musician’s first album since The North Borders in 2013, and was released to high anticipation among the fans. One of the standout tracks from the LP was Bonobo’s collaboration with Nick Murphy (previously known as Chet Faker) for the track ‘No Reason‘. With eclectic synth work and a subdued bassline sitting perfectly with Nick Murphy‘s evocative vocals, fans were treated to a delight with ‘No Reason‘.



5. Above & Beyond – Balearic Balls

Dance music’s most beloved trio Above & Beyond returned with their latest single ‘Balearic Balls‘ after one year, and man, did they impress! Complete with their iconic synths and basslines, the track saw the trio return to club roots with an absolute banger of an track.


4. Armin van Buuren & Garibay ft. Olaf Blackwood – I Need You

Armin van Buuren switched things up for his latest single ‘I Need You‘, going for a more pop route, featuring Olaf Blackwood on vocals and Garibay.


3. Major Lazer ft. Nicki Minaj & PartyNextDoor – Run Up

Fresh off a massive 2016, Major Lazer kick off the new year with the release of their brand new collaboration, “Run Up” with hip-hop and R&B heavyweights Nicki Minaj and PartyNextDoor. A fresh islandic tune which blends in the best of both worlds with dancehall and R&B sounds present at the helm, their latest effort is only an indication of bigger things to come from the popular trio.


2. Martin Garrix & Dua Lipa – Scared To Be Lonely

Martin Garrix‘s highly awaited single, ‘Scared To Be Lonely‘, saw the day of the light after its debut at his NYE show in Myanmar. Featuring British vocalist Dua Lipa, the track saw Garrix return to Future Bass yet again after ‘In The Name Of Love‘.


1. The Chainsmokers – Paris

The Chainsmokers continued their run of hit singles with ‘Paris‘, featuring Drew Taggart and Emily Warren on the vocals, with crisp basslines and striking piano chords, making it yet another hit under the duo’s arsenal..
