While a majority of the world celebrated Christmas yesterday, the Jews commenced the celebrations of their 8 day festival Hanukkah on the 24th December, which fell on the same date as Christmas for the first time in decades.
In honour of Hanukkah, Dillon Francis released a trap remix of the classic Israeli folk song ‘Hava Nagila‘, sung usually at celebrations, as a free download on his Souncloud. Dillon also posted the following message accompanying the remix:
So yesterday before the Dillstradamus show i was thinking to myself there are way too many Christmas remixes so I decided to make this Hanukkah flip for the lolz, to play at the show, and for the first night of Hanukkah of course! heres a free download! Just over one and a half minutes long, the remix features Dillon Francis‘ unmistakable basslines, and boisterous synths, making the remix a staple in coming celebrations, including bar and bat mitzvahs of the more dance oriented youngsters.
