The Christmas period around the country is always full of gigs for those who are musically inclined. Be it electronic music, pop, rock, acoustic or even Bollywood, there’s always something for everyone. As Christmas Eve approaches, we’re proud to present you with ‘Your Friendly Neighbourhood Gig‘ at The Junction, New Delhi.
As we count down the days, we tell you how ‘Your Friendly Neighbourhood Gig‘ will be different from your run of the mill Christmas Eve/Christmas gigs:
- Your Friendly Neighbourhood Gig is Delhi’s first community gig, where we are giving some of the finest upcoming artists in New Delhi a chance to showcase their skills and talent. Be it acoustic singer/songwriters, who’ll serenade you with their soothing tunes and covers, or DJs, who’ll make you dance to groovy sets. We’ve got you covered when it come to music, like always.
- We are encouraging the live music space in the city with a mix of new/upcoming artists, along with the more established ones. Upcoming musicians will agree that getting a gig these days is nothing short of a Herculean effort. This is our effort of giving something back to the community, as we pair the new talent in the city with the established ones. The acoustic sessions will see Dhruv Visvanath lend his incredible talents to the evening, while SMASH Nasty will end the night with a bang.
- Christmas is a time of joy, and what better time to celebrate it with your loved ones? Bring in your Christmas with us, as we promise to set up a really special vibe. And it doesn’t really matter what your age is, as we’ll have a little bit of something for everybody.
- We also have a deal for Rs. 999, that lets you get happy high on the Christmas cheer with a package of drink all you want. While we’re sure that has caught your attention, drink responsibly. Take a cab back home, or get a designated driver.
The Venue
The venue for Your Friendly Neighbourhood Gig is The Junction, situated in the CSC Complex in Hauz Khas, right opposite Aurobindo Market. Set in the heart of South Delhi, the venue is perfect for live music, with its open spaces. Having previously hosted The Gig Week just a couple of weeks back, featuring a host of fantastic artists, The Junction is a wonderful amalgamation of music and food coming together for an unforgettable experience.
