10. Marshmello – Alone

Love him or hate him, Marshmello proved his mettle throughout 2016 to come out on top as one of the hottest acts during recent times. Known for his signature pop-oriented and airy take on bass music, the masked producer played a definite masterstroke with his debut appearance on Canadian label Monstercat with “Alone”. Released back in May, the track not only surged him towards the top of the charts, but also gained him a massive amount of followers from all around the world.

 

9. Alesso feat. Nico & Winz – I Wanna Know

Following a highly successful album debut with “Forever” in 2015, Swedish heavyweight Alesso returned in proper fashion with his chart busting collaboration, “I Wanna Know” with Norwegian duo Nico & Winz. A modern day love ballad which showcased his delicate side of crafting infectious melodies further bolstered by a strong hook truly made it one of the biggest tracks of 2016.

 

8. Galantis – No Money

Galantis kick started their 2016 with the release of infectious summer record, “No Money”. And to say that it proved to be highly successful would be an understatement. Treading on a tried and tested path of crafting pop-oriented dance anthems which were led by colorful melodies and some of the catchiest vocal hooks on offer, “No Money” was yet another effective trick out of the Swedish heavyweights’ production manual.

 

7. Flume – Never Be Like You

Talk about making the perfect comeback! Australian electronic music proponent Flume announced his highly anticipated return with “Never Be Like You” back in January. The lead cut from his sophomore album “Skin”, the sensational single assisted by Kai’s hauntingly beautiful vocals truly signified a work which effortlessly embodied a major pop appeal, and has since gone on to become double Platinum. Moreover, having already been nominated for the Best Dance Recording at The Grammys, its success is fairly evident by now.

 

6. DJ Snake & Justin Bieber – Let Me Love You

DJ Snake truly made 2016 his own with the arrival of his debut album, “Encore”. And while his star-studded LP enjoyed its own space to soak in the glory, his collaboration “Let Me Love You”with Justin Bieber, from the 14-track effort undeniably took him to greater heights. 5. Martin Garrix & Bebe Rexha – In The Name Of Love

While the track has already gone to become double platinum and even hit 1 Billion views on YouTube, Calvin’s position as one of the most supreme figures in dance music continues to hold strong!
