Just last week, every music portal around the world had reported about a possible Daft Punk tour in 2017, after some Reddit users found a flyer for Lollapalooza Chile 2017 with the French duo’s name on the lineup, along with the likes of Radiohead, Metallica, The Weeknd and many more. The rumors were fueled on by the release of their collaboration with The Weeknd, ‘Starboy’, and the fact that the tour would commence in 2017, after their two previous world tours were in 1997 (Daftendirektour) and 2007 (Alive).
However, Consequence of Sound have been told by an industry source that Daft Punk have no plans of playing live next summer, with comment from the duo’s representative still awaited. Bummer, right? Now all we can do is wait for an official announcement, if and when they plan to tour, that is.
