This past week, OWSLA reached a remarkable milestone when they successfully completed their fifth anniversary. While a massive party took place in LA which saw the likes of Baauer, Oshi, What So Not and more, the label shared an amazing recap video to celebrate the notable achievement. And just as anticipated, it didn’t fail to leave us with a horde of memories and emotions.
A short four minute long theatrical and emotional roller coaster which charts Skrillex and Co.’s journey to create a cultural space for like-minded artists to thrive in, the visuals are bound to make you collide between their humble past and ever-since phenomenal present. The LA-based collective/label which debuted back in 2011 with Porter Robinson‘s “Spitfire” EP has been a major catalyst in fast-paced growth and evolution of the dance music scene, having introduced and nurtured the future of electronic music! While the recap makes you get in touch with heavyweight acts like Zedd, Kill The Noise, 12th Planet, OWSLA also gives us a glimpse into the future of the label with talents such as Mija, Vindata, Getter and more on their exemplary roster.
