Delhi based producer, composer and, essentially, musician Dualist Inquiry aka Sahej Bakshi, has effectively sculpted a unique space for himself as one of India’s most accomplished Electronica artists, with his wide-ranging synth mechanisms, catchy guitar licks, killer vibe and overall congenial sound, stunning hearts with creations like Doppelganger LP & Natural Disasters EP. Now, he’s back on his Soundcloud-driven spectacular track with the official release of his brand new album ‘Dreamcatcher’, for a free download, which further gives us reason to be stupefied by his talented capabilities.

Far from just a lullaby of sorts, Dualist turns things up massively and on a grand scale with his new LP featuring 12 tracks in total, the largest number since the producer first arrived on the scene, with each track exuding a uniqueness and ingenuity that few are capable of delivering!

Tracklist:

Divide

The starter pack of his LP, this song begins dark and soft, full of echoey sounds as a building beat opens the portals to his hugely worshipped synth pad and light percussions and hushed vocals that lend it the softest of feelings.

Moongaze

Through its vivid yet fragile sound, with ‘Moongaze‘, Dualist captures a kind of catchy collision of dazzling synths and pure vibes, almost as glowing and mystical as the moonlight.

Zero Hour

This track starts out with vibrating echoes as shimmery pads cascade into a pivotal plot of a placid beat and soothing synths that merge perfectly with the jazzy and scintillating voice of Kavya Trehan, dispersing particles of smoothness into the sensually charged atmosphere.

Sleepwalker

The first to be released in a delicious act of temptation,’Sleepwalker’ stays true to its folk colours as it splashes out a wonderfully melodic reason for you to keep your head numbingly satisfied.

Delirium

It is with this track that the LP picks up its pace. ‘Delirium‘ sets off a range of instrumental beauty as Dualist’s classic guitar riffs come into focus with rhythmic strums hitting all the right notes as a percussive beat unleashes a simple magnificence onto an already melody-brimming scene. It is then that soft keyboard keys tap along to create a song you can feast your ears to.

Trainwreck

An exciting collaboration, ‘Trainwreck‘ captures a plethora of soulful emotions featuring guitar plucks and an overall melodic gist, with heart-warming vocals, courtesy of Chennai based rockers The F16s in their very first collaboration with Dualist Inquiry.

Meraki

This track vibrates with a fast paced electronic core as pitch bends and vocal chops wrap up into a divine distortion to the uplifting percussive beats and effective strings, producing the richest of sounds.

Monument

A gleaming delivery of sizeable proportions, ‘Monument‘ is lively and catchy and has an infectious soul that pulls in all who open up their ears and minds, featuring all the signature Dualist twists and stylised synth play.

Opaque

Another stunner by Kavya Trehan, this track has a jazzy feel as her graceful vocals take centre stage to the backing of darker echoes and progressing beats that emerge as a languid reality. Through it’s whimsical vocals and immersive feel, it functions like the light at the end of the tunnel, thus serving up tremendous appeal.

Rivals

With ‘Rivals’, Dualist goes galore with the pitch adjustments leading to a dreamy aura that has silvery piano tunes and fluid synths. Faster pace dominates it somewhere after half time as this electronically driven creation provides layers and layers of pleasant auditory tactics only to fade out into a submissive end.

For Joss

For this track, organic electronic extraordinaire Nicholson’s transcendent and gentle vocals are the main point of focus, as the song wanders back and forth between a melodic masterpiece and an effect-textured sonic success. This track is calming, pensive and surges with electrifying emotional energy.

Violet

The last track of his brilliant LP is the vivacious and submerging Violet as it cascades and splatters about its melancholic vibe to the beats of a deliciously dark bassline and random piano keys, capturing along its way the spectrum of emotions that fill our state of minds, thoughts and feeling as we are lulled into an exquisite hibernation, and with that Dualist establishes his might as one of India’s most playful, skillful and creative producers

Dualist Inquiry’s brand new LP is a cultivated and tender journey into the depths that span across our minds and bodies, and it is with this bliss-brimming, beauty-infused sentiment that Dualist leaves you awestruck with his marvellous prowess once again.
