As fans’ favourite independent label completes 5 years, the 5 years anniversary compilation comes as a free download from Monstercat and includes this progressive tune from the Caribbean duo!
Starting off with a Trance-esque breakdown, ‘Blackout‘ teases a hook melody. As the atmosphere gets more intense, bassline and drums join the mix and carves up a nice buildup. The same melody goes off the hook on the drop with screechy electro synths. The humongous drop booms with a strong bassline and punchy drums. The edited vocal chant ‘Blackout’ appears on the downbeats to boost the energy. ‘Blackout’ delivers the perfect Pegboard Nerds taste with emotional breaks and dynamic drops with electro sounds.
