Whenever someone takes Carnage’s name, your first reaction is probably trap or bass music, right? Well, Papi Gordo has decided to surprise his fans, and pretty much everyone in the dance music realm by previewing a psy-trance track. Yes, you read that right.

Teaming up with Australian DJ and producer Timmy Trumpet, who himself dabbles in electro and progressive house, the duo have come together and produced a psy trance single, which has already received support from the likes of Armin van Buuren, W&W, Andrew Rayel, Nervo, Blasterjaxx, Kryder and more.

Titled ‘PSY or DIE’, the track kicks off just as any regular single, as the duo up the tempo with a hard hitting bassline and arpeggiated synths, with modulated vocal samples. Talking to Billboard Dance, Timmy Trumpet says:
We wanted to write a piece of music that shocks people. Psy trance is quite confronting, but we added a tribal beat underneath which gives it a unique feel. Carnage took it a step further. The last drop is disgusting! I f**kin (sic) love it, and I hope everyone else does too!
Adding to Trumpet’s comment, Carnage said:
I wanted to do something different. So why not bring Psytrance to the Main Stage!
