Raised in Kolkata and now based in Delhi, for DJ/Producer Llewellyn Hilt, since 15 years, it had always been about delivering dark, detuned and twisted mixes to the dance floors. While it was only a few months back that the techno artist took full control over the production spectrum and released some sweet productions under his alias KOUNT. Kicking things off with tracks like ‘Sensei’ and ‘Durbaal’ alongside Ash Roy on Monique Musique and Frequenza labels respectively, in no time he literally dropped the bomb with his latest ‘Don’t Stop’ EP.
The title number has proved to be a remarkable achievement as it reached among the ‘Top 10 Beatport Techno’ chart. An acid drenched dark and groovy number, ‘Don’t Stop’ is for pure techno freaks, made to burn any club dance floor immediately. Already a long-time head of faculty for DJing at India’s premiere dance music school ILM Academy, for Llewellyn Hilt, this seems to be just the beginning as the skills he has gathered over the years and consistent sharing of knowledge at the school would all perhaps be seen in his upcoming production and mixes.
