SoundCloud Introduces Highly Anticipated Music Discovery Feature

It has been an ‘adventurous’ ride of sorts for SoundCloud in the past few months given the number of negative blows that has struck them. But major props to them, the company has constantly worked towards improving their platform for good. And, with new deals struck with Warner Music and Universal Music and a new subscription based service SoundCloud Go in place, the Alexander Ljung led company is surely in for a major overhaul.

Now fresh off Twitter’s $70 million investment in SoundCloud, the company has unveiled its highly anticipated feature to suggest tracks to users via their Discovery section which will recommend tracks to users based on their past streams. The latest addition can be either found on the Discovery tab or the Search field in the app.

SoundCloud talked about the feature in a statement saying:

“Suggested Tracks makes use of our state-of-the-art machine learning algorithm to deliver fresh new music and audio suggestions based on your likes and plays on SoundCloud – refreshing frequently with tracks you won’t find anywhere else. The more you use SoundCloud, the more the algorithm learns and perfects itself, day after day.”

A feature which might prove to be extremely beneficial to secure the future of the Berlin-based music streaming platform, you can check out the feature here!
