Michael McCrudden‘s popular web series ‘Before They Were Famous‘ documents the lives of famous celebrities and their rise to fame. With a viral deadmau5 episode already doing the rounds, the Internet sensation has now taken up the life story of heavyweight DJ/producer Diplo.
A 10-minute video which focuses on Wesley Pentz, viewers are treated to a whole lot about one of the busiest producers in the scene and his earlier days in south Florida when he worked in a bait shop with his dad. With the dream of becoming a paleontologist, the adjacent Miami music scene on the other side had different plans for him as it led him to pursue a whole another passion. His love for travel to find new music has been an evergreen characteristic of his persona, the video recounts the formation of Major Lazer and everything else in between that preceded his worldwide success.
