Having kicked-off his year with blooming ‘Illicit Behaviour‘ EP, Jamie Jones is back with a significantly diverse styled new production called ‘Land Of The Giants‘. A more of a vocal-centric number as it features a special collaboration with Jones’ brother Timothy D Jones’ indie project Hero Twins. Jones explained to Billboard that his newest single came out as a result of and inspiration from a very specific dreamed-up celebration,
I named the song ‘Land Of The Giants’ because I just imagined some huge giants getting down at a house party in their giant world. I also used to love the show as a kid. So why not?
Magnificently imprecise distorted bassline kicks-in at the start, which is no less than an announcement of the beginning of a grand party, while layered haunting vocals provide for a darker title-appropriate outlook. ‘Land Of The Giants’ in its later segment goes low on energy, while the impeccable melodic riff floats over throughout the rest.
