The highly popular sister duo Krewella are back on the map with their brand new single ‘Beggars‘, with UK duo Diskord. Having already released two singles, ‘Say Goodbye‘ and ‘Somewhere To Run‘ post the exit of their former member Rainman, their most recent effort might just be their heaviest yet.
Their latest collaboration taps into trap-step sounds as it stays true to the rebellious nature which their songs embody in true Krewella fashion. With rock-influenced vocals kick starting the proceedings with raw-guitar influences running wild in the background, the track unleashes its wrath with a heavy trap drop carrying hints of drum n bass influences during the consequent section.
Yet another direction for the duo altogether, it would be interesting to see how their future productions will sound like. Talking about the collaboration, Krewella wrote:
This song has been on a 3 year journey. It started in LA in 2013, we wrote more for it in Australia in 2014, we almost gave up on the song in 2015, but then somewhere along the way Beggars found itself in the UK in the hands of the remarkably talented duo, DISKORD. James & Ed, this song wouldn’t have the pure and honest rage it has if it weren’t for you two.
Krew, thank you for waiting over a year to hear new music. We can’t even recall how many times we’ve said music is “coming soon”, but we are so happy to say that soon is now HERE, and there is so much more to come. We hope this song brings you strength, power, and sweat in the times you need it most.
