Billboard have announced the final list of nominees for the 2016 edition of their annual Billboard Music Awards. According to the press release, “the awards are based on the reporting period of tracking dates March 23, 2015 through March 17, 2016 and Billboard chart dates April 11, 2015 through April 2, 2016.”
The nominations are a tad less of a surprise with top artists such as Major Lazer, The Chainsmokers, David Guetta, Zedd and more rounding up the respective categories. While Diplo leads the nominations in all three under his different collaborative groups, there is an interesting bit waiting to be solved as to why Jack Ü has failed to secure a place in Top Dance/Electronic Artist category.
