It’s been some time since the Dutch powerhouse DJ and producer, Dannic announced his own record label, Fonk Recordings. In last week’s episode of his radio show, Front of The House Radio, Dannic premiered the first ever release on Fonk, his collaboration with the Argentinian duo, HIIO titled “Funky Time“. The year of 2015 has been spectacular for Dannic. His releases like Feel Your Love, Clap and Survivors have set the dancefloors on fire all over the world and at the start of 2016, he also gave away an amazing track, Jungle as a free download. Starting his own record label was obviously the next big step for the Dutch icon and to give it a headstart, Dannic lands this new collaboration with HIIO, who have catered their festival ready tracks on a variety of labels like Armada, Revealed, Spinnin’, Musical Freedom and have garnered support from almost all the big names of the dance music scene.
As the name suggests, “Funky Time” adds the element of funk with sliding synth stabs while the powerful sound hits underneath them. Dannic’s signature groovy sound is present in the track alongside the dynamics of HIIO sound. The preview gives quite some impression on how this track will turn out with a catchy buildup leading to an energetic drop, booming a powerful bassline with bouncy synths on the top. Already supported by the likes of Fedde Le Grand, Thomas Gold, Hardwell, W&W and Sick Individuals, this track is ready to give you some funky time. “Funky Time” is set to release via Dannic’s Fonk Recordings on February 15.
