OWSLA‘s new compilation album, Worldwide Broadcast is full of surprises. With the unreleased music from the likes of Mija, Skrillex, Must Die!, San Holo and Yellow Claw, it is an exceptional collection of tracks. Both the LA-based DJs and producers, Getter and Ghastly are known names in bass and dubstep region and both have been involved with one another in some way. Finally, they have dropped their collaborative single, ‘666!‘ and it is simply excellent! This amazing track efficiently highlights the strong points from styles of both the artists. Gritty and distorting bass joined by twisting samples makes the way towards the drop through trippy percussion. Bass/Future house drop hits as the monstrous voice announces the countdown “3..2..1”. Surprise bass drops and whomps are set to catch you off the guard and make you jump on every beat of the track. Aptly named ‘666!‘ tries to give the taste of horror with anticipating synths and the demonic voice on the samples, but the beats and bassline on the drop give away funky vibes. Overall, ‘666!‘ is a gem on OWSLA’s latest compilation album and it’s sure to give a great time to the listeners, be it on the dancefloors or on the car music systems or just on the earphones!
