Kohra & SHFT – Quasar (Original Mix)

Kohra SHFT

Everyone knows that Qilla Records bossman Kohra (Madhav Shorey) is not only very good, but also supremely hard working and relentless. His work speaks for itself and his consistency is remarkable. It’s time for fans and listeners to rejoice as his new EP – Osiris, in collaboration with the very talented SHFT (Vipul Angirish) drops today on Pete Oak‘s Denmark-based, Blindfold Recordings.

Quasar” is a part of this three-track EP. It’s effortlessly club-friendly, but equally awesome to listen to on your drive to work or in the evening, while unwinding with friends. It’s far from melancholic and we love that. It’s a track that can instantly snap you out of a funk.

Kohra and SHFT have created a magnetic piece with multiple overwhelming moments that lure you away from the dreary real life. While one of the other tracks on the EP is much darker, this one is slightly lighter, but multi-layered and very enticing. And that’s where the magic lies. When you hear this track at a club, it’s bound to compel you to dance.

Madhav and Vipul have together, created a unique sound that’s garnished with a hypnotic seasoning – along with heavy beats and abundant fresh energy. Blindfold Recordings describes it beautifully – “(this track is) like a mist, dancing into your subconscious with invisible grace.” We couldn’t agree more.
