It’s Perfectiming indeed. The collaborative project between two of India’s finest musicians, Sandunes aka Sanaya Ardeshir and Jiver aka Jivraj Singh is a melting point of exquisite music free from genre boundaries and for which the words complex, ambient and eclectic might just fit. Being the front runners of underground electronica, there’s a sense of ingenuity in their work which you will realize once you hit the play button.
The 4 track EP is a tasteful collection of forward thinking music which is inaugrated by the track “Easy”, a mindful arrangement of synths and exceptional drum patterns done by the RBMA alumnus Jiver. Having already set up the tone, “Tangerine Soul” takes it up a notch. Being the first single coming out from the dual act, this track is a representation of what they do best and is fairly outlined by an interesting arp work. The EP is summed up by “This Works” and “Juno Baby”, two bags of sonic goodness for which words don’t aptly fit.
Not R&B, nor Jazz neither just ambient noises, but representing a hybrid prototype of sounds of tomorrow, Perfectiming is the bright future of India’s budding electronic music scene. Check out their debut EP below!
