Dance music superstar and Scotland native, Calvin Harris seems to be on a mission and he cannot be stopped. An array of his recent compositions have started out as summer anthems and gradually transformed into global phenomenon and into the biggest hits of the year.
“How Deep Is Your Love” is no exception. Calvin ventured into the deeper side of house music with this collaboration with Disciples and his efforts have been truly appreciated all over the world – by die-hard fans as well as new listeners. The song floated around the Internet before it’s official July release and began dominating the airwaves. However, the attention it received, further sky rocketed when stunning supermodel Gigi Hadid played the protagonist in the music video.
This seemingly ‘summer’ anthem has continued to impress and enchant listeners even through the second half of the year. It sold over a million copies in the US and it’s officially a platinum-certified single! It’s now in the august company of other Forbes’ ‘Electronic Cash King’ mega-singles like “Need Your Love” with Ellie Goulding and Calvin’s triple-platinum smasher from 2014 – “Summer.”
