Revealed Stage At Sunburn Goa: Interview With Manse!

Manse

Swedish DJ and producer Manse has seen his stature in the world of dance music grow, ever since his unofficial remix of Axwell and Sebastian Ingrosso‘s track ‘Roar‘ caught Hardwell’s attention, who played it on his radio show ‘Hardwell On Air‘. Things took off from there on, with the Swede signing on to Revealed Recordings, remixing the likes of Nicky Romero, Dash Berlin amongst others, as well as collaborating with Kill The Buzz, just being the highlights of his rapidly rising career. As part of our focus on Revealed Stage at Sunburn Goa, we caught up with Manse for a mini interview to discuss his meteoric rise, his humble beginnings and much more. Read ahead!

TBB: Your career has seen a rapid rise? How do you feel about this recent success?

Manse: The success so far has been incredible and surprising in a way. 2015 was a huge year where I got the chance to play some major gigs at Ushuiaia, across Asia as part of the Revealed Recordings tour, on the Revealed Stage at Tomorrowland and more. I learned that I have to enjoy every second of my amazing journey!

TBB: Hardwell has been a constant source of support for your career since the start, what are your views on him as an artist and individual?

Manse: It’s amazing to have his support behind my music, I feel very honoured. Obviously Hardwell is a huge inspiration for all us rising producers and as both an energetic DJ and a skillful music producer he shows what an EDM Artist needs to have In order to make it in the music industry! As an individual he is also a super nice guy and very down to earth which is very impressive considering his status in the scene. I feel very happy to be a part of his team!

TBB: Can you tell us about your earliest music memories?

Manse: I started making tracks in a PC program called ‘Dance Ejay’ with different loops for fun when I was 12 years old. It didn’t last long but I think that memory stayed with me and might be a reason for my interest for music production.

TBB: You have had a massive 2015, with several singles and a landmark set at Tomorrowland, what can your fans expect from Manse in 2016?

Manse: I had a few releases during 2015… what I can say is that 2016 is going to be packed with singles, collaborations and some remixes for A-list artists! I am very excited to see what 2016 will bring me. Grateful for all the support up to now.

TBB: Your alter ego Stasius showcases a distinctly deep house sound, how did this project come about? Any upcoming Stasius work we can expect?

Manse: My other alias Stasius is mainly focusing on experimental stuff such as downtempo/movie score/chillout and Deep House. I have a dream to make music for movies one day… And so as to not confuse my fans with different types of music, I decided to create two aliases, one for progressive house/electro house and the other for experimental stuff. This way I can create 2 fan bases and connect them with each other. I just released a Stasius Remix of my Manse track ‘Freeze Time‘ ft. Alice Berg. Next up is a Stasius alternative mix of my new single on Armada Trice called ‘Last Night Of Our Lives’ which I am really proud of and think people will enjoy a lot – Furthermore I’ve got tons of Stasius tracks to finish, as I’ve currently got too much inspiration. But I’m sure 2016 will also bring a lot more Stasius music.

Catch Manse live at Sunburn Goa at the Revealed Stage along the likes of DyroJulian Calor, Thomas Newsonand Joey Dale on the 27th December.
