It’s here. It’s finally here. The sequel to Eric Prydz‘s wonderful Pryda Vol I EP, Pryda 10 Vol II has just dropped, and it’s everything you could have expected from the Swede’s arsenal of sounds.
Pryda – Welcome To My House
Opening the EP is ‘Welcome To My House‘, a sublime track with an infectious bassline, a dark, groovy melody accompanied by the iconic Pryda snare and subtle chord arrangements in the back.
Pryda – Annexet
Up next is Annexet, a tune perfect for those intimate, darker sets, complete with plucky synth chords and an intriguing bassline that delves deep into your senses and makes you groove.
Pryda – Clapham
The third track on the EP, ‘Clapham‘ features a very prominent percussive line and an arena house sound with subtle synth wobbles.
Pryda – Snaz
The follow up to ‘Clapham‘, ‘Snaz‘ features a warped, arpeggiated synth progressions accompanied by a subtle, groovy bassline.
Pryda – Rush
The 5th track on the EP, ‘Rush‘ has all the makings of a perfect tune for those dark, intimate sets, with its synth stabs, dark bassline and a pounding kick drum that will keep resonating in your ears after the track is finished.
Pryda – T.I.D
Concluding the EP is ‘T.I.D‘ which blends in a flavour of techno, with driving warped chord progressions, a groovy bassline and atmospheric samples that lift the track to a whole new level.
The EP is without a doubt a brilliant effort from Prydz, but takes a darker route in terms of sound, compared to his previous releases. Nonetheless, an absolutely brilliant addition to his list of brilliant releases. The EP is now out on his own record label, Pryda Recordings, and you can buy it from Beatport.
