Belgian Tech-House veteran Marco Bailey has earned plenty of respect owing to his undisputed skills behind the decks, but as a producer he has time and again shown his superior techniques in the studio. Returning on Carl Cox and Jon Rundell‘s Intec Recordings, Bailey brings forth his fifth offering on the record label following his previous stunning releases including ‘Invention‘, ‘Stella‘ as well as ‘Play it back‘.
The inventive Final Approach EP shows his charismatic approach towards good ol’ Techno inventiveness. The EP opens with ‘Final Approach’ amidst some intense industrial drum lines and gnawing basslines. A dark swerving melody creates a dramatic sonic environment, leading to an emphatic breakdown of beats, bass and bliss. ‘Leda’ however brings a progressive edge to the EP with its encapsulating and whirlwind synth leads. Groomed together with some hard-hitting basslines the track reaches an ominous crescendo owing to its emotive buildup.
