The internet has been ablaze with rumor and speculation about the whereabouts and identity of mystery Dance producer ATTLAS. The artist, pretty much, send fans and critics alike, into a whirlwind tizzy when he first appeared remixing Deadmau5‘s iconic ‘Aural Synapse‘. Much speculation has been pointed out that the artist was indeed Deadmau5 sans an alter-ego or alias. Clues and evidences were laid out in support as well, given the synth-heavy production style, the overnight emergence on mau5trap and of course, there was than a very conspicuous photo that looked like a younger tattoo-less Joel Zimmerman. All fingers pointed to Deadmau5.
However, it has now been revealed that ATTLAS is a fellow Canadian producer by the name of Jeff Hartford. While still, nothing much is known about the producer, the mau5trap Facebook page went ablaze with comments and queries over the producer’s whereabouts. The identity was officially revealed by Peter Tong at the start of his Evolution Broadcast on iHeartRadio, as he says:
There’s been a sneaky suspicion that he’s deadmau5 in disguise…However I can now reveal that he’s a fellow Canadian producer called Jeff Hartford. He doesn’t just stick to one genre, and he’s inspired by movie soundtracks.
