Dance Music Royalty duo – The Chemical Brothers – return after five years to unveil the newest piece of sonic wizardry from their humble studios. The duo, who last appeared on the soundtrack for the movie ‘Hanna‘ in 2011, now return with their eighth studio album called ‘Born in the Echoes‘. Their last album ‘Further‘ back in 2010 incorporated their traditional big beat sound with some more contemporary sounds of trip-hop and tech, but it seems that for BITE, the duo will dive further into their original Big Beat sound and merge it with contemporary pop flavors and Tech house grooves. The album is all set to be pushed out on 17th July on Astralwerks, but we’ve just been given the preview of the first track from the album.

The track is called ‘Sometimes I Feel So Deserted‘, and it falls into the Tech House sound style, however the iconic Chemical Brothers elements are scattered all over the track adding that familiar tinge of unpredictability around the track. Deep basslines married to an alluring vocal hook, offbeat drum machines combining with arrpegiated synth melodies, simple 4×4 snare-clap combos combined with complex FX breakdowns and buildups…this track offers an absolute just slice of everything sacred about a Chemical Brothers production combined with just superior cutting-edge studio production. Feast your eyes and ears on the preview below, and check out the rest of the playlist.
