After previewing his collaboration with Tiesto for 7Up just a couple of weeks back, both Martin Garrix and Tiesto played ‘The Only Way Is Up‘ in their respective mainstage sets at Ultra Music Festival, and now Martin Garrix has shared a 3 minute clip of the track, ripped from Tiesto’s Ultra Bueno Aires set, where he opened his set with the collaboration, and probably played it for the first time ever.
Featuring chopped up vocal samples in different keys, accompanied by an arpeggiated synth chord progression building up towards the breakdown, which uses the same elements from the initial parts, turning into a wonderful progressive house track. It also marks Tiesto’s departure from his signature electro sound and also Martin Garrix‘s willingness to try out different sounds in 2015.
While there hasn’t been any intimation regarding the release date of the single, it seems highly plausible that it will be released on Spinnin’ Records. Definitely worth a listen at least once. Check it out here below and let us know what you think.
