When he’s not trolling people on the Internet or buying cars, Deadmau5 loves taking out time for his fans, answering questions and giving them advice. The Canadian DJ/producer hosted a live stream Twitch Q&A that lasted nearly 4 hours, and talked about a wide array of subjects, and that included him giving out some valuable advice to upcoming producers.
Talking about the internet generation, Zimmerman lay emphasis on the need for human connection, rather than digital connections that are prevalent these days.
“If I had to do this again, at least in today’s climate, I would focus on being very offline.”
Citing the example of how he met Skrillex, he told the viewers how Sonny handed him a USB drive, containing Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites, while he was at a HARD Events party with Tommy Lee. Recalling the incident, he said “If he had spammed me with email or on Twitter, I might have never seen that piece of music.” But since he was handed a physical object, it was much harder to ignore.”
