After the very successful debut of the Smirnoff Experience in Bangalore last year, it has returned for it’s second edition to Mumbai. It promises to be the biggest ‘Unfake‘ electronic dance music festival lined up for the 17th of April. Their tag line #UnfakeIt was launched back in November 2014 with the goal of creating a very realistic, effortless fun experience for music lovers. The festival this year has retuned with a lineup that will leave you restlessly counting down the days leading up to the festival. The headliners for the festival are Knife Party and The Bloody Beetroots.
Knife Party, an electronic dance music producer duo hailing from Australia have made fans rave to their music at Ultra Music Festival, Bestival, Coachella, Holy Ship!! and Lollapalooza. Rob Swire and Gareth McGrillen got together to form Knife Party that has also collaborated with other dance music producers including Hardwell, Skrillex and Swedish House Mafia.
The Bloody Beetroots is an Italian electro house formation between Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo and Tommy Tea. The name, The Bloody Beetroots is primarily used as a pseudonym for the solo projects of Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo. The project is well known for the black mask worn during performances. Infant, the only public feature, identifiable is the year ‘1977’ tattooed across Bob’s chest. The unconventional music taste and the mask surely add a very unique style to his performances.
That’s not all. The international headliners will be supported by an equally fantastic lineup of Indian talent that includes Dualist Inquiry, Sound Avtar, Sandune and Kris Correya who never cease to impress.
With such a power packed lineup and so much talent all in one day, it’s going to be one epic festival. Bass lovers, this is one day you wouldn’t want to miss.
