Now you can steer clear of fire with hard bass lines. Yep, just another reason to increase that bass now! Two George Mason University engineering students Seth Robertson and Viet Tran have designed a bass frequency generator that can put out flames instantaneously. Trust us, you have to watch it to believe it.

What started as an idea for a research project, and spending about $600 of their own money, they have built a somewhat portable sound generator, amplifier, power source and focusing tube that would seem to have great potential in attacking fires in a variety of situations.Their current version separates oxygen from fuel by exposing it to sound frequencies between 30 and 60 hertz.

There’s nothing on the market that works, so we thought we could be the ones to make it happen.” – Seth Robertson

Now music can save lives. Literally!
