Gareth Emery‘s album from 2014, ‘Drive‘ was inspired by a cross country road trip across United States that he took with his wife. This album marked the return of Emery to his original roots in trance melody, piano and emotion. This also was his first artist album in three years. Within a day of the album’s release, it broke into the Top 50 in iTunes and was also the top album there. Emery is all set to release a remix album of Drive entitled ‘ Drive Refueled’. This album is a collection of 22 remixes ranging in sound from rock-infused electronica to big room progressive to lofty nu-wave trance.
For this album, Gareth has trusted a stellar lineup of producers with remixing duties. Some of the artists who have been part of this album are W&W, Cosmic Gate, Omnia, Alex Sonata, Juventa and James Egbert. The bonus tracks on this album include remixes from R3hab, StadiumX, Deorro, MaRLo and Coone.
Even though the album has a variety of genres, Emery has managed to compile it so beautifully that the flow from one track to the other is blissful and serene.
