Fedde le Grand gets behind the first-ever dance music ballet

Just in case you were thinking where Dutch DJ Fedde le Grand has been lately, the renowned DJ has gone covert for scheming the first ever ballet in the history of dance music. We barely had an impression about Grand tapping into the theater arts, hence the news of his last week’s performance in Amsterdam came equally a shock to us. The sold-out show premiered at Amsterdam’s Royal Dutch Theatre, in which a reviewer from “inthemix” reported it as: “Fedde lay down a groove of standard tech-house, pausing between tracks as various ballet dancers disappear and return in different outfits.

The setup looked a “weird” arrangement, as Grand graced center stage while ballet dancers performed around him. At the very least we are sure about the young enthusiastic fans of today’s dance music, but this might come out as hit concept when fans begin to tire of the club and festival scene, get older and become senior citizens, going to the theatre to see a DJ.
