Faded is somewhat a classic, and that’s an established fact. The source behind ZHU‘s stairway to anonymous fame, it’s no surprise that the track saw a number of remixes from all kinds of artists, the latest ones being DJ Snake and DJ Mustard.
We’re not sure how we feel about this. Don’t get us wrong, the track’s got the vibe, it’s got the grit and the grime we like. But some things are just left better untouched, don’t you think? Faded 2.0 sounds like everything a DJ Snake and DJ Mustard track would sound like, and that’s it. We loved Faded for its unique and esoteric nature, and perhaps that’s what led to its Grammy Nomination. The dark synth and drop added to Faded pulls it back into the rung of considerably familiar music. The track is well-crafted in its own might, yet it ain’t anything like ZHU.
