Sunburn Goa is just 2 days away from us. Come Saturday, and we’ll be witnessing Asia’s biggest dance music festival on the beaches of Vagator, with a massive lineup featuring the likes of Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Paul Oakenfold, Sander van Doorn, Knife Party, Sasha amongst others.
With countless other activities planned for the festival goers, the Sunburn team have put in countless hours and unimaginable effort to make sure the event rolls out smoothly. And in order to further enhance your experience at Sunburn, we bring you a list of essentials that you need to keep in mind to ensure you and others around you have a great time.
Stay Hydrated
We cannot stress enough the importance of water at music festivals. It literally becomes the elixir of life after you’re going to be dancing for close to 6-7 hours. Stay hydrated and offer water to anyone who you think is looking dehydrated, because you don’t want to end up like Mr. Spongebob here.
Wear Light Clothing And Protect Yourself From The Sun
Come on people. It’s Goa. And a beach. Wear something that’s comfortable and trendy. Add on some accessories like hats and sunglasses and you’re good to go. Also, don’t forget to carry sunblock, so you don’t literally get a sunburn.
Portable Chargers
Don’t forget to carry portable chargers as there are good chances your phone might run out of battery after you’re done taking selfies and photos and videos of your favourite artists playing on any day. If you don’t have one, we’d recommend you buy one as it’ll be one of the most essential things to carry with you to the festival.
Meeting Points
Going for Sunburn with your friends not only enhances your experience, but also gives you a lifetime of memories to cherish. But there might be times when you and your friends might be at different stages so as to check out different artists. In that case, always decide on a meeting point before hand, so there won’t be any problem locating them when you want to meet up. You might get signal problems too, decide the meeting point and time accordingly.
Carry Enough Cash
There are always Sunburn shops in the vicinity during Sunburn Goa and it’s only normal if you want to buy a souvenir to take back home for all the memories. Always carry enough cash with you, so that you won’t have to wait in long queues for cash machines. But do not carry that much cash that you’ll always have to worry about dropping it.
Plan Properly
With such a massive lineup, it’ll obviously be difficult to catch two acts playing simultaneously at different stages. Before coming to the festival, plan your day accordingly, and make up your mind about which artist to see and when. And if two of your favourite artists are indeed playing simultaneously , it’s better of you catch half of both their sets. It’s better than missing out entirely on one of your favourite artists.
Take Breaks
It’s important for you to take breaks and not wear yourself out just when the fun’s about to start. Take breaks, recharge yourself, and hit the ground running with your moves.
Stay Safe
Safety should be one of your top most priorities at the festival. There are always first aid and medical centres available throughout the venue, so don’t hesitate if you need medical help. Additionally, if you see someone who needs medical attention, be kind and take them to the medical centres. If you see someone in trouble, offer them the best help you can, and who knows, you might make a friend.
Don’t Forget To Take Part In Other Activities
Sunburn is more than just a dance music festival. There will be plenty of other attractions at the festival such as paracopters, hot air balloons, ferris wheels, flea markets, book library, circus tents, sports village and an open air movie theater. Be a sport and take part in the other attractions as well.
