2014 has been quite the year for the brilliant DJ/Producer Dillon Francis. Dillon’s debut Studio Album ‘Money Sucks, Friends Rule’ hit No.1 in the iTunes charts in less than 24 hours of its release, which is no mean feat in itself especially given his mind-boggling superset at this years Tomorrowland in Boom, Belgium.
But what has got everyone to love Dillon more is his humility and gracefulness with which he has taken all this major success under his stride. With hilarious interview pieces, to entertaining coffee runs, to a fusillade of hilarious tweets and pictures; Dillon has maintained his status as one of the most loved and talented musicians out there.
In an industry where artists tend to stick to what they know and focus on building just that, it’s not surprising to see Dillon get much adored since he has set out on a mission to defy all boundaries with his versatility, be it music production, DJ-ing or even possessing a chameleon persona by taking differing comedic monikers/alter-egos. One such moniker, DJ Hanzel – the German accented, techno/deep house loving – recently unleashed what can easily be called the best 30min set of the season so far. Don’t believe us?
